Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with ‘La Casa Tranquila, Javea’, we look forward to welcoming you. By making the booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Payment Details

  • For all bookings we require a minimum 25% deposit to reserve your room by credit / debit card or by Bank Transfer (BACS / CHAPS to our Spanish Bank Account).
  • We will send you a confirmation of your booking within 24 hours once payment has been received.
  • All deposits are refundable up to 3 days prior to the booking after which any deposit paid would be retained to cover costs incurred.
  • All credit / debit card payments are taken by secure card payment and no card details are retained by us.
  • Any ‘Additional Extras’ ordered by guests that cannot be returned to the supplier (i.e. Cakes, Champagne, etc) need to be paid for in full. In the event of a cancellation either inside or outside of the 3-day cancellation policy this money is always retained.
  • Outstanding balances are paid on the day of arrival. These can be paid by an appropriate credit / debit card or cash. Cheques are not accepted. Should a guest wish to pay by bank transfer this should be by cleared funds 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • Any refunds would always be by the same method of payment. In the case of credit cards that would be to the same card.
  • There are no additional costs for the amendment of a booking if it is outside of the 3-day policy

Arrival and Departure

  • All guests will be required to complete a registration form on arrival which is then lodged with the Guardia Civil. This is a legal requirement and one must be completed for each member of your party.
  • Your room is available from 3pm. Earlier times can be arranged with prior notice and dependent on room availability.
  • Any guest arriving early is more than welcome to use all the facilities in La Casa Tranquila and we can arrange for secure storage for your luggage if your room is unavailable.
  • Departure times are between 11am to 12am. Should a guest require their rooms for a longer period then this can be arranged at an additional cost of 15euros
  • Only those individuals listed on the booking can stay at La Casa Tranquila.
  • We do our upmost to be flexible if our guests have an early morning or late-night flight and so we can arrange the following by request;
    Early Flights
    – Early Morning Alarm Call
    – Early Breakfast (Toast / Croissants / Coffee & Tea)
    Late Flights
    – Safe Luggage Storage
    – Packed Lunch for Flight (Sandwiches / Crisps / Water)

Cancellation

  • We have a FREE cancellation policy up to 3 days prior to arrival where any monies paid would be refunded.
  • If a booking is cancelled within the 3-day policy, then the 25% deposit is retained
  • Any ‘Additional Extras’ ordered by guests that cannot be returned to the supplier (i.e. Cakes, Champagne, etc) need to be paid for in full. In the event of a cancellation either inside or outside of the 3-day cancellation policy this money is always retained.
  • We reserve the right to cancel the booking because of natural disasters, terrorism, riots, strikes, fire, extreme weather conditions or similar events beyond our control. We would recommend that you take out appropriate holiday cancellation insurance to cover this cost. In such cases compensation will not be paid.
  • We would only ever cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. In cases such as this we would always attempt to offer you an alternative. If this was not possible, or unacceptable, then we would refund all monies paid to you. Our liability is always restricted to the value of monies paid to you.

Linen & Towels

  • Like all hotels we take our responsibility towards the environment very seriously. In Spain water preservation and retention is one of the government main objectives in the next 5 years.
  • We provide Bed Linen and bathroom towels free of charge. These are changed;
    – bed linen is changed every fifth night
    – bathroom towels are changed every 3 days
  • Pool / Beach Towels can be supplied for a refundable deposit of 10euros
  • If you are happy to have your bed linen changed less frequently, lease let us know

Smoking

  • We do not allow smoking in any of our guest accommodation, including the Lounge and Dining Room, however feel free to smoke in any of the external terraces, swimming pool area and BBQ.
  • Ashtrays are provided in all permitted areas.
  • Should a guest smoke in any of the restricted areas then an additional 50euro charge will be levied to cover a deep clean of this room.

Loss, Damage & Breakage

  • We do not normally charge our guests for minor breakages as we know that accidents do happen. We do however reserve the right to make a charge to the guest credit/debit card, or we may send you an invoice for repair / making good if the damage / breakage is significant.
  • We would ask than any breakage / damage is reported immediately.
  • All guests are provided with their own room key and an ‘After Hours’ key to give them access late at night. Any loss of the keys would necessitate a lock change and so this cost would be charged to the guest and must be paid before vacating the premises.

Security Safes

  • All rooms have small security safes which are programmable and are large enough to store a tablet, phone, passports, etc. We do not accept any liability for any loss arising from their use.

Children

  • We welcome children at La Casa Tranquila and would only ask that they are supervised during your stay, especially with regards to use of the swimming pool.
  • For the purpose of booking;
    – Infants – 0 to 2 Years
    – Children – 3 to 13 Years
    – Adults – 14 years +

Pets

  • All pets are welcomed at La Casa Tranquila.
  • We would ask that owners ensure that their animal is supervised during your stay.
  • We can provide a bed for your animal to sleep during your stay and would just ask that they are not allowed to sneak into your bed at night.
  • There are many wonderful walks in and around Javea / Montgo. We would just ask that any mess is cleaned up and disposed of responsibly in accordance with local bye-laws. Any fines incurred by our guests must be paid on departure.
  • No animals are allowed in the swimming pool.

Swimming Pool & Jacuzzi

  • Our swimming pool is open from 8am until 8pm and is cleaned twice per week in Summer and once per week in Winter.
  • The Jacuzzi is by request and in advance. As this is by arrangement times are by agreement.
  • We would ask that guest shower prior to using both amenities to ensure that the filters are not blocked up with any creams.
  • Children should be supervised always by their parents as there are no lifeguards on duty.
  • Pets are not allowed to use the swimming pool or jacuzzi at any time.
  • No liability is accepted for swimming pool or jacuzzi use. Their use is purely at your own risk.

Insurance & Liability

  • Whilst we make every effort to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests we cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising from the use of our property.
  • We do not accept liability for damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or vehicles or possessions.
  • All our guests are strongly advised to take out appropriate insurance to cover cancellation of this accommodation. This insurance should also cover for personal injury, medical and emergency expenses, loss of baggage, money, missed departure and personal liability.
